It has been my privilege to work with young children for over 10 years. In these years I have learnt more than I could imagine from these children. Through this, I have also developed a passion for working alongside children to develop a sense of wonder and awe about the world around them, through play, conversations and just being present. I delight in being outside and pursuing learning in the natural world.

I believe all children should have access to a breadth of educational styles, including those who live regionally. It is my hope as a EP Waldorf School board member, that I am able to assist in providing this to the Lower Eyre Peninsula community.

I grew up in Willunga, and attended the Willunga Waldorf school as a founding student, then later moved to Mt Barker Waldorf school to complete my high school education. After school I traveled and worked for a large pastoral company on remote stations in the Kimberly region of WA, before settling back in Adelaide to study Emergency medicine at Flinders university. I have worked as a paramedic for the last 15 years.

I have lived on the EP for 10 years, met my partner here and we now have three beautiful children. Despite giving a lot of myself to my profession as a paramedic, motherhood has been my greatest achievement so far. I’m passionate about community and absolutely love the endless possibility of adventure that the EP provides.

Having experienced Waldorf education for myself I would love nothing more than for my own children to also have this education possibility.
